Mateusz Surma - Shapes of Mind. GO Course for beginners (K-5610/a)
This course is designed for those who want to develop their skills in the game of go.
The course consists of three parts.
The first part is addressed to people who begin their adventure with go. Herein, I will explain the rules and the most important information for the future player. By the end of part 1, you will know when a group is alive, when not, basic life & death problems, counting points, connecting groups, snapbacks, ladders, good and bad shapes.
Everything on the 9×9 board.
The second part is addressed to people who can already play on a 9×9 board. In this part, there are more difficult life & death problems. You will see various kinds of problems which involve catching your opponent’s stones. You will also get to know about yose, fuseki, seki and eye shapes.
Everything on the 13×13 board.
More space on the board – more to think about.
The third part is addressed to people who can already play on a 13×13 board. You will see various kinds of openings, basic joseki, pinpointing the groups’ weaknesses, good extensions and when to start to play yose.
Everything on the 19×19 board.
