IV LUBUSKA CHESS SPRING

GORZÓW WLKP. 19-25.03.2008.

I. Aim.

  • popularization chess among children, young people and adults
  • promotion of Gorzów Wlkp. city and Lubuskie region

II. Date & place

  • Competitions will take place in Gorzów Hotel 20 Walczaka Street and Parkowy Hotel 20a Walczaka Str. From 19th March 2008 to 25th March 2008.
  • Arrival on the 19th April 2008 till 8 p.m., technical check-in at 8 p.m.

IV. The system of contests

Competitions will take place in two ranking groups:

  • Group A - from ranking >1800 and possess ELO - tournament submit to FIDE.
  • Group B - to ranking < 1800
  • Group C - "THE FIRST STEP" (those who were born in 1994 and younger)

Groups play at 9 rounds distance, in arrangement: 2,2,2,1,1,1 (the last on 25th March, at 9 a.m.).
The ending of tournament is predicted at 2 p.m.
The pace of game: 90 minutes + 30 seconds for each movement.

V. The finance

  • The cost of stay with full board - 354 PLN per person ( 6 days x 59PLN.) - Parkowy Hotel (wash-stands)
  • The cost of stay with full board - 414 PLN per person ( 6 days x 69 PLN) - Parkowy Hotel (WC,TV,phone)
  • The cost of stay with full board - 510 PLN per person (6 days x 85 PLN) - Gorzów Hotel - high standard.

The tournament registration fee:

  • Group A - 120 PLN (GM - free, IM - 50% decrease)
  • Group B - 80 PLN.
  • Group C - 60 PLN

In the tournament ranking fees are required. (15 PLN - the competitors with FIDE ranking, 5 PLN - the rest).
Payment on account: AGENCJA 64 PLUS Bank PKO BP II O/Gorzów Wlkp.

VI. Gifts and awards

Group A:

  • I place - the cup + 2000 PLN, 10% of competitors get awards.

Group B:

  • I place - the cup + 1000 PLN, 10% of competitors get awards.

Group C:

  • The cup + degree certificates and material gifts. 10% of competitors get awards.

The festival is the first ceremony CAISSA POL TOUR 2008 and it is counted to the general classification which is comprise with additional fund of gifts - consistent with cycle statute.

The application deadline -10th March 2008.
After this deadline the registration fee will increase (25%).

VIII. Different matters

For the competitors of IV Lubuska Spring Chess - Gorzów Wlkp.2008 (accommodate in hotels) the Easter breakfast will be organized.

During the tournament all competitors will be able to use the internet café ( 50% discount).

Minor person is obligated to stay under adults care.

The competitors should insurance on their own.
